FIRST Minister of Wales Mark Drakeford was involved in a heated confrontation with the Welsh Conservatives leader in the Senedd yesterday (October 18).
Mr Drakeford lost his temper under questioning from Andrew RT Davies MS, accusing Davies’ party of being responsible for damaging the UK’s budget and international reputation.
This followed a heated exchange in which Mr Davies called for a solution to poor ambulance response times, before Presiding Officer Elin Jones asked for calm in the chamber.
First Minister Drakeford could be seen gesticulating at his counterpart, and was visibly furious as he condemned the “mess” he felt the Conservatives had left the country in.
The Welsh Conservatives had accused the first minister of looking to apportion blame to the UK government for his own ministers' failings, with the Welsh Labour leader saying he reflected the anger of people in Wales.
