A MAN from Llandudno has been jailed after pleading guilty to assaulting and strangling a woman at a campsite in Caernarfon.
Lee Sumner, 44, of Chapel Street, was accused of assaulting Samantha Turner by beating her, and of intentionally strangling her, at Riverside Camping on August 22.
He changed his pleas to guilty for both offences on August 31.
At sentencing at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on October 5, Sumner was sentenced to 52 weeks’ imprisonment.
The court refrained from imposing costs on him.
