A 19-year-old man was arrested and later released on bail in connection with the fatal crash that claimed the life of 20-year-old Finnley Jones in Llandudno.

Mr Jones sustained serious injuries following a serious car accident on the A470 Conway Road, Llandudno.

The incident happened at about 8.30pm on Monday, 24 October and involved a black Vauxhall Corsa travelling southbound on the A470 towards the black cat roundabout.

Mr Jones was taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital, where he died in the early hours of yesterday morning (October 31).

A 19-year-old man was arrested, questioned and released on bail as police conduct an investigation.

A North Wales Police statement said: “A 19-year-old local man has been arrested in connection with this incident, who has been questioned and released on bail.”

Sergeant Meurig Jones, from the Roads Policing Unit, said: “I offer my deepest condolences to the family at this difficult time.

“This is now sadly being investigated as a fatal road traffic collision.

“I am appealing for any residential properties who have CCTV that captures the road to please come forward.

“I am also making a renewed appeal to anyone who was travelling on the A470, Conwy Road, at around 8.30pm who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage, to get in touch with police.
