A LLANDUDNO tattoo artist is donating the profits he makes on Remembrance Day to Blind Veterans UK, the national charity for vision-impaired ex-Service men and women.

Luke Jervis, who owns the Fox and Raven tattoo parlour in the town and his colleagues, have supported the charity in this way in previous years.

When asked about why he had chosen to offer his continued support to Blind Veterans UK, he said: “Why wouldn’t you? The charity does so much for blind veterans. I’ve been lucky enough to visit their Centre of Wellbeing in Llandudno and it really made me realise just how much they do and how much their help and support means."

He added: “I first found out about the centre as one of my friends works there and I am honoured to be in a position in which I am able to do my bit to help out.”

Support and fundraising

If you are part of a small business and would like to find out how you could support the work of Blind Veterans UK, visit the charity’s website: blindveterans.org.uk/fundraising

Blind Veterans UK supports thousands of blind veterans but knows there are many thousands more who still need its support to rebuild their lives after sight loss. The charity recently launched a campaign, proudly supported by Specsavers, to find and recruit these men and women.

If you, or someone you know, served in the Armed Forces, including National Service, and are now struggling with sight loss, then please get in touch. Call 0800 389 7979 or visit blindveterans.org.uk/support

While Blind Veterans UK initially cared for veterans blinded in active Service, today they help veterans no matter what caused their sight loss.
