TWO businesses from North Wales have won awards at this year’s Welsh National Wedding Awards in Swansea.

Cassie M Bridal, bridal make-up specialists from Colwyn Bay, and Chateau Rhianfa, a hotel and wedding venue in Menai Bridge, were both recognised for their brilliant work making special days happen.

The Welsh National Wedding Awards have been held since 2011, and recognise the best wedding businesses in Wales.

This year’s ceremony was held at Brangwyn Hall in Swansea, and saw Cassie M Bridal pick up the regional title for ‘Best Wedding Make-up Artist’ while Chateau Rhianfa was selected as the Regional ‘Best Wedding Venue’.

In a post on Facebook, Cassie M Bridal owner Cassie McClymont said: “I can’t believe it! After the last few tough years and many, many early morning walk up calls, I absolutely am over the moon to win this award.

“Thank you so much to all my brides who have voted for me.

“This award is one I’ve hoped to win since I started my business a few years ago and feel super proud to have been a finalist and also win.

“It’s all down to my beautiful brides who continue to book me each and every year who give me such a fantastic career and also to my amazing husband standing next to me, who continuously supports me in everything I do and encourages me more than anyone.”

Chateau Rhianfa said in a Facebook post: “Absolutely overwhelmed and over the moon to have won the Best Wedding Venue in North Wales!

“Once again we’d like to thank everyone who voted for us, but also - our team at Chateau Rhianfa, we couldn’t have won without you!”
