READERS have been recalling their favourite dinner ladies from their childhoods.

As well as memories of pink custard and mash served from an ice cream scoop, many of us remember the kitchen staff who fed and looked after us at dinnertime.

So when we asked Pioneer readers who their favourite dinner lady was, there was no shortage of replies.

It's a lovely tribute to 'Mrs Christmas,' 'Mrs O,' and all those precious Aunties.
