LLANDUDNO'S magical Christmas Parade will make its return to the town in early December.

Led by Father Christmas and his sleigh, the parade usually travels from Llandudno Train Station before heading to Vaughan Street, Mostyn Street and to Lloyd Street outside the Town Hall.

This year the spectacular will feature a new character - the Icicle King. There will aslo be stiltwalkers.

Cllr Antony Bertola, Chairman of the Christmas Parade, said: "Llandudno Town Council is delighted to be hosting the Christmas Parade once again. Last year’s event was a great success, with thousands turning out to watch the Parade as it passed through the town, with everyone getting into the Christmas spirit and we are really looking forward to this year's event.

"We have new attractions this year including an icicle king and stiltwalkers as well as old favourites such as the Theatr Colwyn pantomime float, the nativity, and of course Father Christmas in his sleigh.

"There will also be entertainment outside the Town Hall from 2.15pm.

"The Town Council would like to thank Transport for Wales (TfW) and APCOA parking for allowing us to start the Parade from the Railway Station and all involved in this year’s Parade."

The event will return on Saturday, December 3 at 4pm.

Residents turned out in their droves last year for the festive procession.

In 2021, the parade had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
