CROWDS flocked to this year's highly anticipated Christmas Extravaganza today (November 17).
The free four-day event, dubbed the ‘biggest in North Wales’, did not disappoint as revellers soaked up the festive atmosphere and enjoyed the array of food and crafts stalls, decorated igloos, rides, and entertainment.
Held on Trinity Square, Augusta Street and Madoc Street, food, drink and craft stalls lined the streets of the town and were joined by Mr and Mrs Claus.
The event was first held last year, proving incredibly popular with around 30,000 people turning out.
Llandudno’s very own Ysgol Morfa Rhianedd Choir kicked off the Christmas Extravaganza at 2pm on the main stage, delighting crowds with renditions of English and Welsh songs to get people in the festive mood.
Event organiser Chris Williams, of HTC Entertainment and Events and chairman and director of Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza Ltd Co, said that each day would “come alive with music and dance”, and people got exactly what they were promised.
Some of the entertainment to enjoy on the first day of the Christmas Extravaganza included:
The Marlaton Choir from Llandudno performed on the main stage at 1pm
The Cambria Band
The Llandudno Swing Band will perform later on tonight, from 7pm on the main stage.
