PLENTY of people got into the festive mood today (November 19) as Llandudno's Christmas Extravaganza enjoyed a successful third and penultimate day.

The free four-day event, held on Trinity Square, Augusta Street and Madoc Street, has been dubbed the "biggest in North Wales", after about 30,000 people turned out for it last year.

And once again, visitors enjoyed plenty of stalls, tasty treats, rides, entertainment, decorated igloos, and of course, a visit from Mr and Mrs Claus.

Saturday's programme included the Marie Curie "Light Up the Night" display at 5pm, where people could visit their stall to make a donation for a lantern, on which they could write a message to remember a loved one.

At the display, at the back of Trinity Church, the Conwy Choir for Good performed, and readings from Marie Curie nurses were delivered.

There was also funk and soul music from Yubaba, jazz from The Quaynotes, renditions of old favourites from Rock Choir North Wales, and a moving performance from the Cor Meibion Maelgwn.

Students at Linzi Grace School of Dance also delighted audiences, while various characters in fancy dress, from NWA Rogue Outlaws, could be seen at the event throughout the day.

Competitions were also held for window dressing, Victorian dress, and best-dressed stall.

There were plenty of stalls including German sausages, mulled wine, Welsh gifts, Ridiculously Rich by Alana, Mr Churros, Conwy Candle Company, St David’s Hospice, and many, many more.

The extravaganza will conclude tomorrow (November 20), running from 10am until 5pm.

A Magic Light Productions show will be this year's proceedings to an exciting climax.
