A LARGE crowd gathered on the Cayley Promenade in Rhos-on-Sea on Sunday, November 27 to witness the Rotary Tree of Lights switch-on.

This was the first time the public had been able to gather since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

The Tree of Lights is an opportunity for the public to remember loved ones and celebrate the coming of Christmas.

Dr Lyndon Miles, from St David’s Hospice, updated the crowd on new developments and the continuing work of the charity.

Rotary president Pauline Hogan said: “We were so pleased to invite the public to witness the switch-on this year following such difficult times.

“All proceeds from the Tree of Lights will go to support the fantastic work of St. David’s Hospice in Llandudno.”
