A ROBOT dog, a three tiered iced Welsh Dragon birthday cake, a violin worth £1,000 and a box of five live Crab purchased from a boat in Conwy Quay make the 2022 Travelodge Lost and Found audit for hotels in North Wales.

Travelodge has revealed some of the unique items left behind in its 582 hotels including its nine hotels in North Wales over the last 12 months.

Unusual treasures that have been left behind at the company’s hotels in North Wales include: A Power Puppy robot dog at Bangor Travelodge; A men’s 18th century aristocrat dressing up costume at the Caernarfon site; A violin worth £1,000 at Holyhead Travelodge and An 18ct Llawenydd gold and diamond engagement ring at Rhyl Seafront Travelodge.

Other obscure items left include A Valentino Garavani backpack containing rock climbing equipment at Bangor; A sequin wall at the Llandudno venue and A box of five live Crab purchased from a boat in Conwy Quay at Colwyn Bay Travelodge.

Shakila Ahmed, Travelodge spokeswoman, said: “With nearly 19 million customers annually staying at our 580 UK Travelodge hotels, including our nine hotels in North Wales, for thousands of different reasons, we do get a range of interesting items left behind.

“Interestingly the 2022 lost and found audit also revealed that we are a nation striving for a healthy lifestyle as we have seen a significant rise in smart watches being left behind in our Travelodge hotels during the last 12 months.

“When it comes to why so many of our customers forget their treasured items, it’s basically due to us all being time poor, juggling multiple tasks and being in a hurry to get from A to B. In the rush, valuable possessions are easily forgotten.”
