THE Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza is to host its own fringe festival for the first time at its event later this year.

The annual event, which takes place this year on April 29, 30 and May 1, often attracts more than 200,000 to the town during the bank holiday weekend.

This year’s extravaganza will also be a night-time event, with organisers on the search for performers, and for venues to host shows, for the fringe festival.

A statement from the organisers read: “This year, the Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza will be hosting its own fringe festival.

“The fringe will take place alongside the Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza on April 29, 30, and May 1.

The Llandudno Transport Festival also takes place on the same weekend as the Victorian Extravaganza, and is based on Bodafon Fields.
