ST HILARY'S Sunday School has returned following the festive break.

The Sunday School, held at Llanrhos Old School Room, opposite St Hilary's Church, is looking to welcome more children.

This week (on January 15), youngsters learnt what a parable was and listened to the story of two men: one who built his house upon the rock and one who built his house upon the sand. The house built on the sand collapsed during a storm but the house on the rock stayed firm.

Children also thought about how to build a strong foundation on Jesus. They came up with suggestions such as going to church, forgiving others, to love each other, to read the bible and to listen.

Karen Erlandson, leader of Sunday School, said: "We offer a gentle introduction to the Bible for children up to the age of 11. Each week we look at a specific story or character. We think and pray about what this means for us today.

"We offer a range of activities from arts and crafts to simply playing with toys. Each child has the opportunity to engage with what they find interesting.

"We are a very friendly group. Every child is important in God's eyes and are most welcome to join us."

Sunday School runs every Sunday during term time. It starts at 10.30am with toast and tea. Sessions include a story, activities and craft. The first Sunday of the month the club meets in St Hilary's Church.
