RESIDENTS are being encouraged to participate in a public consultation seeking views on the three shortlisted options for the active travel route between Llandudno Junction and Glan Conwy.

The consultation follows years of work by Janet Finch-Saunders, the Aberconwy MS, as well as Conwy County Borough Council and other stakeholders.

A list of 29 options has now been narrowed down to four for further consideration.

You can make your views known online and at the public information session being held at Church House, Church Street, Glan Conwy between 1-7pm on February 1.

Mrs Finch-Saunders said: “When I was a cabinet member on Conwy County Borough Council, in 2004, having a cycle route connecting Glan Conwy to Llandudno Junction was recognised as a priority.

“After years of work, organising meetings with key stakeholders, scrutinising the Welsh Government, and corresponding extensively with the local authority, I am pleased that we have reached a point where the public are being presented with three options.

“We have reached this stage knowing that there has been significant demand by local residents and families for the route to be completed.

“So, I hope that as many as possible will take the time to look at the options and share their views.”
