A MAN from Conwy was handed a community order after admitting to assaulting one police constable and resisting another.
Darren McDermott, 42, of Mona Road, was accused of resisting PC Thomas, and of assaulting PC Jones by beating him, in Conwy on November 24, 2022.
He pleaded guilty to both at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on January 25.
McDermott is to complete a maximum of 10 days’ rehabilitation activity, and six months’ alcohol treatment.
The court ordered him to pay a fine of £80, compensation of £50, costs of £85, and a victim surcharge of £114.
This totalled £329, to be paid as a full lump sum within 28 days.
An application was made for deductions from his benefits.
