RESIDENTS at the Welsh Mountain Zoo have been marking the most romantic day of the year in their own unique ways.

The Red Pandas and Meerkats opted for the number one Valentines treat and enjoyed some scent enrichment with roses.

Harri and Flick, the Asian Small-Clawed Otters, delved deep into their "blissful bags of love" filled with straw, where their favourite treats were hidden. Whilst the Red Panda family shared their love through a bouquet of Bamboo.

They were also seen investigating a tissue covered heart and smelling a brightly coloured red rose. 

Charlotte Dykes, of the Welsh Mountain Zoo, said: “Love clearly comes in all shapes and sizes. We love an excuse for a celebration here at the zoo and our amazing animals are feeling the love on Valentine’s Day."

The Welsh Mountain Zoo is open on Valentine’s Day from 9.30am until 5pm.
