HORROR fans are counting the days to Rhyl's very own horror film festival.

The perfectly titled Rhyller Thriller takes place at Rhyl Town Hall at the weekend (March 11&12).

As well of screenings of feature and short films, there will be a chance to meet the stars, from both in front of and behind the camera, in person.

They include one of the original Cenobites from Clive Barker's seminal horror masterpiece Hellraiser and *checks notes* Paddy from Emmerdale.

Paddy, real name Dominic Brunt, is a near obsessive horror movie fan, having appeared in, written and directed a host of horror films, including Before Dawn and Attack of the Adult Babies, as well as new release Wolf Manor which will be screened at the weekend.

Announcing the weekend schedule, Rhyller Thriller organisers say: "Take a weekend trip to Sunny Rhyl for the countries newest horror festival RhyllerThriller .

"For just £10 you can have a full weekend of horror films from feature length classics to world premiers and indie shorts. meet legends of the silver screen and speak to directors. we even have script writing classes and more.

"So book now whilst tickets are still available."

Tickets for the weekend are £10.

As well as Wolf Manor and Hellraiser, films on the schedule include Tales of the Creeping Death, Mari Lwyd, Gwyledd and The Hounds of Darkness.

Denbighshire-based filmmaker Edward Evers-Swindell will also be screening his latest film House of Horace followed by a Q&A with the cast and crew.

There will also be panels and workshops on screenwriting and filmmaking, as well as screenings of several locally produced short films, including Ouroborus, There's an Armadillo in My Dreams, and An Arm and a Leg from Welsh horror producers Hellbound Media.

There will be a chance for attendees to chat with many of the filmmakers and actors, including Dominic Brunt, Joanne Mitchell and star of Hellraiser and Nightbreed Simon Bamford.

A host of vendors will also be on site selling horror movie collectables, posters, books and comics, art, and DVDs.
