A spokesperson for Gwrych Castle said: "On Friday, we hosted the first civil ceremony at the castle since the restoration began, and what a special day it was. The wedding was held in one of the seven areas available to use for civil ceremonies.

"We’ve held many receptions at the Castle over the years, but this was our first civil ceremony so it was a momentous occasion.

"The Coach House was used for the ceremony and was transformed for the special occasion, it looked very impressive and was dressed perfectly for the space. The sun was shining over Gwrych Castle on Friday, so they couldn’t have chosen a better day to get married."
