A LLANDUDNO hair salon and coffee shop will both be closing this weekend, as the owners thanked the “great” support they had received over the years.

Clinton James Hairdressing, on Vaughan Street, and Blend, on Clonmel Street, will both be closing tomorrow (June 3) after the owners said “all good things come to an end”.

The businesses are owned by Clinton James, who helped the former set up the popular coffee shop (of which there is also one in the salon).

In a video posted to social media, Mr James gave his reasons for closing the salon.

He said: “We’re closing the salon on June 3.

"It is with a heavy heart that we’ve come to this decision but the reasons being is just that we just no longer have enough stylist staff to fill such a big place and meet the commitment of what it is for the outgoings we have.

“It’s not come lightly, we’ve been open for close on 30 years and we never felt this was going to come to this end.

“My dream was that we would pass this on to somebody else but that has just not happened for whatever reason.

“It’s a journey, it’s been an incredible journey, some amazing highs.”

In a social media post, Blend also confirmed it would be shutting its doors on June 3, stating: “Sadly for many reasons we will be closing Blend this Saturday 3 June 6pm.

“We would like to thank all you lovely people for such great support over the last three years.

“Maybe you would like one last breakfast or lunch to tickle your tastebuds one last time and to say goodbye to our lovely team.

“They say all good things come to an end but hopefully there could be a new beginning.”
