PLANS for a new brewery and taproom bar in Conwy town centre have been approved by the council.

The industrial unit at 6A Lancaster Square, located down the alleyway between Saffron and The Cosy Home Company, will become an ancillary taproom bar and brewery.

The application was submitted by Black Cloak Brewing Ltd, which already runs the Black Cloak Brewery & Taproom on Abergele Road, Colwyn Bay.

The popular pub/bar serves a wide range of IPAs and craft beers, and promises more of the same for Conwy residents and visitors to the town.

As part of the plans, the taproom and brewery would be in separate units, with the taproom open from 12pm-10pm from Wednesday to Sunday.

The site will not be licensed to host live, amplified or recorded music.
