A PAIR of brothers from Colwyn Bay were delighted to bump into a “hero” of theirs when they met actor Tom Hardy yesterday (August 17).

Holly Lynch’s sons, Riley (15) and Theo (10) had been visiting their grandmother in West Sussex, and unexpectedly bumped into the “Inception”, “Venom” and “Batman” star at a gym.

They both stopped to talk to the film star, who was also happy to pose for photos with each of them.

“My son was in the gym at The Bridge Leisure Centre and spotted him, but was too nervous to go over to him!”, Holly said.

“But when my mum and my other son went to pick him up, it turned out he was parked just next to my mum’s car. He had been there with his family at the rock-climbing section, I think.

“They said he was really nice and chatty, and was happy to have photos with them. He went over to Riley and shook his hand - Riley has been obsessed with Batman since he was tiny!”

Last Sunday (August 13), Hardy, 45, made a surprise appearance at the Loxwood Joust, a medieval jousting competition in Billingshurst, West Sussex.

On his Instagram account, which has more than 10 million followers, the actor shared a number of photos and videos of himself taking part in a medieval-themed brawl.
