CHARITY supporters gathered at Llandudno Pier gates with their four-legged friends to raise money for the RNLI.
A total of 30 dogs attended the Llandudno RNLI Dog Walk on Sunday, September 10, as well as two guinea pigs named Fred and Endeavour!
Participants made their way along Llandudno promenade to the Lifeboat Station; the Inshore Lifeboat had been launched and onlookers were treated to the vessel doing laps of the bay.
John "Oggi" Roberts, one of the organisers of Sunday's event and RNLI volunteer, gave a talk on the importance of responsible dog ownership while walking the coast.
Tips and advice, on what to do if a dog owner gets into trouble in the water or on coastal cliffs, was also given.
John said: "The public were welcomed to the boat house by volunteers providing refreshments for humans and doggies alike. The four-legged walkers received a certificate and a leaflet detailing how to stay out of trouble while enjoying walking the coastline."
Sue Perkins, lead fundraiser at Llandudno, said: "We are very grateful to all who walked for their kind support. To our volunteers and to Dudley and George's General Store for their support and generous tasty contributions for both owners and pets."
A raffle took place and the title of 'best dressed dog' was won by Molly in her RNLI design bandana.
Upcoming events in the Llandudno RNLI calendar include:
October 6: Shanty Night, North Wales Golf Club.
October 17: Pub Quiz at The Links Hotel
November 23: Afternoon Tea with music by Montage Duo at North Wales Golf Club.
Readers are asked to support the events if they can.
