A BODY was sadly recovered from a Conwy river.
Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation were called out on September 9 to support North Wales Police after a body was seen in the Afon Conwy near Betws-y-Coed.
An Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation statement said: "The team were called out on Saturday afternoon to support North Wales Police after a deceased person was seen in the Afon Conwy near Betws.
"Working with colleagues from NEWSAR and the water team at Gorsaf Dan Bangor / Bangor Fire Station, the person was recovered and passed to the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust.
"The thoughts of all team members and our colleagues are with the casualty's family and friends."
