The scholarship is towards undergraduate study in Banking and Finance.
James said: “I’d like to thank Mrs Dolder who taught me the course and helped me throughout.
“I’m quite busy studying biology, maths and English A Levels, and I’m going to take a diploma next in finance and banking as I’d really like to one day work for the top four international accountancy firms in the world.
“I’m very pleased to have got this scholarship as I found it an interesting course, and discovered I was quite good at it.”
A St David’s College spokesperson added: “Superb news James, well done!”
