TICKETS sold out within a record-breaking 36 minutes for this year’s annual CBeebies Panto, taking place in Venue Cymru, Llandudno.

The Robin Hood panto will be sprinkled with festive music, a star-studded cast of CBeebies presenters, and on-screen talent, including Rhys Stephenson, Justin Fletcher, George Webster and Maddie Moate.

A Venue Cymru spokesperson said: “Even though we predicted a quick sell-out, ticket sales, in fact, exceeded our expectations, breaking all our previous records.

"It’s a very exciting time for us at Venue Cymru as we now prepare to host one of the year's most highly anticipated family shows."

The adaptation of the traditional story will see Robin Hood and his Merry Band protecting Sherwood Forest and its animal inhabitants from the Sheriff of Nottingham, who has a "very naughty plan" to destroy the wood of its riches for her own benefit.

The Venue Cymru website attracted more than 4,000 guests when the first batch of tickets were released.

CBeebies Panto: Robin Hood is produced by BBC Studios Kids & Family Productions and the Executive Producer is Natalie Bolton. Series Producer Anna Perowne and Theatre Director Chris Jarvis.

The play has been written by Andrew Pollard and Banks and Wag have provided the music.

The performance will be recorded at Venue Cymru in Llandudno on October 21 and 22.
