At a Fitness to Practise Committee hearing of the Education Workforce Council, held remotely on September 19, Mrs Roberts received a two-year reprimand.

Despite this, she will still be able to work as a teacher in Welsh schools until September 19, 2025.

Mrs Roberts has the right of appeal to the High Court within 28 days of the decision.

Conwy County Borough Council was Mrs Roberts’ employer at the time of the allegation.

A Conwy County Borough Council spokesperson said: “Due processes were followed by the authority in relation to this matter.”
