A MEMBER of the Scaletta family - who ran and owned Alfredo’s for more than 30 years - has joined the team at Number 25 Bar & Bistro kitchen team.

Jerome Scaletta has joined the Italian restaurant in Rhos-on-Sea [previously known as La Dolce Vita Italia] as senior sous chef. He will work alongside chef Jacek Korniak.

A spokesperson for Number 25 Bar & Bistro said: "We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Jerome Scaletta has joined the Number 25 Bar & Bistro kitchen team. Jerome has come to us from Alfredo's in Conwy, where he worked alongside his father for an impressive 27 years to bring the best Italian food to North Wales. He will now be working with our chef Jacek (right) who has been an integral part of La Dolce Vita for the past 17 years.

Richard Reynolds purchased Alfredo’s in Conwy from retiring owners Pete and Christine Scaletta.

Mr Reynolds owns other well-known North Wales eateries including Bodnant Welsh Foods, Eglwysbach and Tribells fish and chips in Llandudno.
