A HALL and spa near Llandudno won the double this year at a UK-wide hospitality awards ceremony.

Bodysgallen Hall & Spa, close to The Royal Welsh Way near Llandudno, won the ‘AA Inspectors Choice’ and ‘Notable Wine List Award’ at the prestigious AA Hospitality Awards, held at JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London on September 25.

The red-star AA Inspectors Choice award the AA’s supreme accolade for hotels that demonstrate the highest levels of quality, excellent standards of hotel keeping, outstanding service and hospitality.

The wine list award was given based on the overall quality of its wine selection.

The Grade I listed Bodysgallen Hall dates back to the 17th century, and has been skilfully restored by Historic House Hotels Limited since 1980 before being given to the National Trust in 2008.

With sprawling gardens, a hotel complex, and a luxurious spa, the hotel consistently ranks highly in the region.

Its dining room has previously been awarded the AA 3 Rosette award, the hotel priding itself on providing the highest quality dishes.
