AN EXTRA special fireworks display will light up the skies over the I'm A Celebrity castle.

This will take place on November 4. Gwrych Castle, near Abergele, have teamed up with Co.creative Performance Company in Prestatyn for the event.

The performing arts was founded by performing artist Chloé Waggett in 2021. After studying at London's Urdang Academy and graduating Bird College in 2018, Chloé has built up a background of performing, teaching and directing experience.

A spokesperson for Gwrych Castle said: "Our firework displays have been a regular date in the calendar for many years, this year we’ve decided to expand on our usual offering and have teamed up with Co.creative Performance Company based in Prestatyn to provide our visitors with something extra special.

"Entertainment will include live music, fire performers, stilt walkers, aerialists, and incredible circus acts.

"As the castle is elevated, visitors will be able to admire the views and watch other displays along the coast.”

Limited tickets are available. Visitors can choose to arrive at an earlier timeslots to take in the atmosphere and acts, or choose a slot based on the firework display. Entertainment will be ongoing throughout the evening.

The castle was awarded a huge £2.2million cash injection in August. The site received the money from the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) as part of their Covid-19 Response Fund.

The money will save the ruin from "imminent collapse" and enable the Gwrych Preservation Trust to reinstate the roof on the main building; the castle has been a "roofless ruin" for 30 years. Floors will also be installed.

Gwrych Castle hosted the ITV show I'm A Celebrity! in 2020 and 2021.
