THE Welsh Mountain Zoo's spine-tingling activities for Halloween kick off this weekend.

The attraction in Colwyn Bay is running two weeks of frightening fun for all the family.

Starting on Saturday, October 21, and ending on November 5, Fright Fortnight includes a Spider Hunt Trail, Creepy Crafts, Spooky Enrichment Workshops, Boo! Boxes and a Pumpkin Carving Competition.

Everyone is invited to take part in the creepy Halloween trail, which will run throughout the fortnight, as well as creepy crafts, where visitors can make their own frightful creations.

The Boo! Boxes challenge is also back by popular demand for only the bravest that dare to take part. It is all about guessing what's in the box and learning about the surprises from the zoo's education team.

Visitors also have the chance to create their own spooky enrichment for the animals.

The popular pumpkin carving competition is back. All master carvers are invited to bring their pre carved pumpkins for judging by zoo experts, with the chance to win a prize.
