NETWORK Rail has apologised to passengers affected by delays between Llandudno and Rhyl yesterday (November 5).
Passengers on the North Wales coastal line saw significant delays throughout the day, with an incident between Llandudno and Rhyl given as the reason.
Network Rail said this was due to a signalling system fault affecting trains between the two towns.
The company said it had rectified the issue, and issued an apology to those affected by the delays.

A Network Rail spokesperson said: “Owing to a fault with the signalling system, trains between Llandudno Junction and Rhyl were delayed yesterday while we worked to rectify the issue.
"Trains between those two stations are now running as normal again, however the fault is still affecting journeys between Chester and Holyhead, which may be cancelled or delayed by up to half an hour.
"We’re sorry for the impact this will have on your journey.
"Passengers are advised to check before travelling as disruption is expected to continue until the end of the day.”
