A TORCH-lit parade will be held in Conwy for the 13th successive year tomorrow (December 9) as part of the town’s Winterfest.
Conwy Winterfest, organised by business owners in the town, is a yearly event featuring street entertainers, musicians, choirs, Clerical Error Morris Dancers, sword fighting on Lancaster Square, hot chestnuts and more.
The festivities, based on High Street and in the town centre, get underway at 4pm, before the torch-lit procession with armoured knights and their ladies begins at 5.45pm.
Held from 4-7pm, the event is free to spectators, with children welcome.

Typically during Winterfest, most of the shops and caterers stay open well into the evening, while the parade is led by a jester.
The parade proceeds through to the town square, while there will also be roast chestnuts and other suitable attractions at Winterfest.
This year’s event has been Russel Erwood, the Conwy jester.
Last year's parade, which had been organised by Conwy’s Chamber of Trade, saw more than 100 people battle freezing conditions to light torches for the procession through the town’s streets.
