A CANDLE set a wreath alight at a home in Rhos-on-Sea.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the incident at Wainwright Close on Saturday night (December 16).
A spokesperson for the service said: "We were called to an incident in Rhos on Sea on Saturday night where a candle set a wreath alight.
"Remember - never place candles near your Christmas tree, furniture or curtains and don't leave them burning."
The spokesperson added: "We were called at 9.38pm. Two crews from Colwyn Bay attended.
"The fire was out on arrival but one casualty suffering from smoke inhalation attended hospital."
