HUNDREDS of people went along to today's Boxing Day Dip in Llandudno, with the splash helping raise money for charity.

The annual dip, a tradition in the town, is organised by The Lions Club of Llandudno, and attracted a bumper number of dippers and spectators who turned out in their droves.

The event returned last year after a three-year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with this year even topping last year's scenes.

Hundreds of people took the plunge, with several in fancy dress, including Santa costumes - the bravest souls wearing nothing more than trunks and Santa hats.

There was also a fancy dress competition, while the town's Miss Alice and members of the town council also made an appearance.

The Lions raise money through bucket collections and donations or through dippers raising money for the Lions Club of Llandudno's nominated Christmas charities.
