A ZOO has been forced to close due to icy weather.
The Welsh Mountain Zoo, located on the hilltops of Colwyn Bay, is closed due to snow and icy conditions overnight.
A spokesperson said on Friday, January 19: "Due to snow and icy conditions overnight we’ve taken the decision to close to visitors today.
"We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused, but visitor, staff and animal safety is paramount.
"If you have pre-booked tickets for today (Friday), our team will be in touch.
"Please keep an eye on our website and social media pages for any updates.
"Thank you for your understanding."
A Yellow weather warning for Ice was in place for Conwy, Gwynedd, Anglesey and Denbighshire this morning. This was from 6pm last night (January 18) until 10am on Friday, January 19.

A Met Office spokesperson said: "Frosty start with icy stretches possible and freezing fog patches taking a while to clear in places.
"A dry day follows with plenty of sunshine and blue skies.
"Temperatures slightly higher than of late, but still feeling cold. Maximum temperature 6 °C."
