THE HM Coastguard team based in Llandudno is seeking for new volunteers, and is urging people from all walks of life to get in touch.

The Coastguard Rescue Service is made up of volunteers who carry out rescues and help those in distress across the coastline.

Currently, the Llandudno team includes volunteers who are work as a chiropodist, tree surgeon and a building surveyor.

The Llandudno crew asked anyone “looking to do something rewarding” to contact the team.

It said: “As a volunteer coastguard rescue officer, you could be involved in a range of situations, from mud, cliff and water rescues to searches for missing people, advanced casualty care, casualty extraction and many more.

“You will receive comprehensive training and appropriate equipment to help you deal with these situations and many other emergencies.

“Volunteering with HM Coastguard is a rewarding role that supports and gives back to your local community. You can make a real difference and help to save lives.”
