A NEW technical centre for boats is set to open at Conwy Marina, representing a £600,000 investment in state-of-the-art boating facilities.

boatcare, a national boat maintenance company, announced the launch of the bespoke centre, which will officially open tomorrow (March 8). 

The spacious facility can accommodate vessels of up to 14 metres, and offers weatherproof services at Conwy for the first time.

The cutting-edge space, which has been furnished with state-of-the-art equipment for boat servicing and maintenance, will improve the services available to both boatcare’s existing customers and the wider local boating community.

Jon Roberts, Conwy Marina manager, said: "We are delighted with the new technical centre, which has been introduced after listening to the local boating community to anticipate their maintenance needs, and will enable us to offer a larger scope of work with the boats being inside and sheltered.

“Bringing this facility to Conwy is testament to our continued investment in the local area, and takes us a step closer to offering the all-inclusive service our boating customers require.”

The introduction of the new facility and services, with an anticipated capacity for growth, represents a vast improvement in the local service provision for boat owners in Conwy and neighbouring areas.
