Paul Williams, general manager at Llandudno Pier, said: "We are excited to welcome back the Pier View Wheel for another season.

"The wheel has become a local landmark with its magnificent presence along the North Wales coast line, especially when illuminated in the evenings.

"We can't wait to see our returning visitors and those experiencing the ride for the first time in what is hoping to be another tremendous year on the Pier.

"The ride is on schedule to open towards the end of the week."

The Ferris wheel was taken down in November 2023 before making its annual trip to Sheffield for Christmas.

The £1million structure, which was custom-made, opened in August 2021.

Llandudno Pier owner Adam Williams commissioned Italian manufacturer Lamborghini to design the traditional wheel, which has 18 gondolas carrying six people each.
