WORK ON the Old Colwyn promenade could be completed next week, with the council saying the project is "nearly there".
This week, a flood gate, road signs, health markers and roadside safety fencing are being installed by contractors.
To complete the promenade, coloured surfacing will need to be added to the road.
The council said that weather permitting, they expected to complete the work next week.
They added that once benches had been installed on the newly laid surfacing, the promenade and road would be open soon after.
