THERE are a number of injury concerns for North Wales Crusaders ahead of a League One away day this weekend.

Following a pair of defeats, Crusaders will be looking to record their fourth league win of the season when they travel to sixth-placed Hunslet on Sunday.

However, a trio of injuries from last weekend’s 37-36 loss to Rochdale Hornets have made things trickier for head coach Carl Forster, with Ryan Ellis, Toby Hughes and Owain Abel (pictured above) set to miss out.

He told CruCast: “We’re probably not in good shape, if I’m going to be honest.

“We’re going to lose Ryan to a HIA (head injury assessment). He failed that (on Sunday).

“Toby was coming off all bandaged up on his right knee and he was struggling in the game. So, I can’t imagine Toby will be fit.

“Owain was struggling as well and we were down to our last 18 fit players.

“So, we’re going to have to do something this week, whether that’s to bring additional bodies in. Obviously, we’ve got... two training sessions to get it right and that’s the best thing about sport. You can quickly put a result behind you by getting a result the week after.”
