A DRY CLEANERS that has served the people of Llandudno for more than 50 years has announced it will close at the end of the month.
Cleaning World Ltd, at 34 Madoc Street, will close its doors for the final time on Friday, 31 May.
Owner Mark Harris said the decision was made because of “soaring” bills, long working weeks for “little return”, and the pressures on the business.
Mr Harris has run the business for the last 11 years with Tracey Barker and Mimi Sarjantson, who have both worked there since it first opened under previous owner Tony Johnson.

All three are now set to bid farewell.
In a statement on social media, the business said: “It is with a very heavy heart that we must announce the closure of Cleaning World Ltd.
“Soaring costs and pressures of running a small business, working six days a week for very little return indicates that it’s time to move on.
“It has been well over 50 years servicing the cleaning requirements of North Wales and many miles beyond since its inception by Tony Johnson and latterly myself, not forgetting Mimi (as we all know her) who has been here the entire time!
“We are receiving many wonderful comments from customers that already know of the closure and that suggests that on the whole we have done you proud in our time.”
