A FOUR-star hotel in Deganwy Marina has revealed a first look at its new spa, inspired by the waterside location of the Conwy Estuary and the finest Welsh hospitality.

The Quay Hotel & Spa has been able to double its therapy team to 15 and recruit a further two leisure staff members through the opening of its new spa.

Additionally, the hotel has recruited two spa apprentices as part of its pledge to give young people the opportunity to grow their career in hospitality and spa.

Following the £1million renovation, the spa comprises a wellness thermal area, centred around a large swimming pool and adjoining hydrotherapy pool, which is surrounded by day beds and heated seats for guests to lounge on throughout the day.

The wellness suite is made up of a Himalayan salt sauna, infrared sauna, and an aromatic steam room promoting respiratory health, as well as a traditional sauna where the dry heat melts away tension.

Wet facilities include a large experience shower, and an expansive foot bath area.

Accompanying the spa upstairs is the new spa dining area, where guests can enjoy dishes such as traditional Welsh afternoon teas and beverages from a private, relaxing environment.

There are also eight new treatment rooms, where guests can enjoy face and body treatments, and can unwind in its beautiful relaxation room.

The Quay Hotel & Spa’s general manager, Brid Adams, said: “The Quay Hotel & Spa has long been a cherished destination to all visiting North Wales.

“Its breathtaking views of Conwy Castle and the serene estuary never fail to captivate visitors.

“Now, with the addition of the new spa at The Quay, the resort offers a complete experience for our guests—a place to unwind, relax, take a break from the world and enjoy a luxury spa experience.

“And what better way to complete the day than by watching a glistening sunset with a spectacular view of Conwy Castle!”
