With half-term upon us the wet weather has - predictably - returned. But don't let that stop you making some fun family memories during the school break.

There's plenty of indoor activities across North Wales to suit every budget. Here are a selection from DayOutWithTheKids.co.uk to help keep boredom at bay, but let us know if you have any to add!

1: Llandudno Chocolate Experience - £4 child / £5.75 adult

Explore the 5,000 year history of chocolate - and try out a sample for yourself, at the Llandudno Chocolate Experience. Hands-on activities and themed rooms take you on an immersive journey through the evolution of chocolate, from a bitter Aztec drink to the sweet treat of today.

Note: the experience is now cashless, accepting payment via card or smartphone wallet.

2: Vue Cinema, Rhyl - Mini Mornings - £2.49 per person

Enjoy the magic of the big screen every morning of the holidays with Vue's Mini Mornings. Showing new kids movies through the holidays and every weekend, everyone pays just £2.49 each! This half term catch new animated film A Butterfly Tale with the voice talents of Aladdin star Mena Massoud and She-Hulk's Tatiana Maslany plus music from Grammy Award-winning Shawn Mendes.

4: Piggery Pottery, Gwynedd - £7.50 to create your own

If you can book ahead why not take the family to create their very own pots at Piggery Pottery.

You can try your hand at the potters wheel for just £7.50 per pot (glazing and firing are extra) and you can take your pot away the same day.

Don't worry if it's a disaster, they have pre-made pots and paint your own kits to take away from £2.50.
