MOCHDRE Cricket Club have been crowned North Wales Cricket League champions following their victory over Gwersyllt Park.
Last weekend's victory at Gwersyllt Park was Mochdre’s 13th in 16 games, having suffered just a single loss, with a cancellation and an abandonment also on their record.
With two rounds of matches remaining, Mochdre are now in an unassailable position in top spot.
Their success has been very much a team effort, with standout performances from batsmen Matty Humphreys and Adam Campion, who each scored more than 400 runs this season.
The game at Gwersyllt saw Mochdre win the toss, with Owen Davies' late unbeaten 25 guiding the leaders to 242-8 off 50 overs.
In reply, Gwersyllt were all out for 143, with Mochdre wicket-keeper French taking five catches.
