A RESIDENT couple at a Rhos-on-Sea nursing home have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Bill and Marian McGall live at MHA Coed Craig, a residential and dementia care home on Tan-Y-Bryn Road, and marked their 60th wedding anniversary with a double celebration.
They spent one afternoon with their family and then another at the home with fellow residents and staff.
The home had prepared a special anniversary cake for the couple which was enjoyed by all.
The couple first met at a dance hall in Edinburgh in 1961, before getting married in 1964.
They have two children, Caroline and Douglas.
MHA Coed Craig provides residential and residential dementia care for 45 people.
Speaking after the celebrations, Bill said: “We enjoyed our celebrations, we had an afternoon with our family to celebrate then another with the staff and residents here.
“We have been living at MHA Coed Craig for just over a year and are very happy here.
“The home arranged a wonderful celebration for us, and we are very thankful.
“Being married for 60 years there will always be ups and downs but for us the secret and key is contentment, tolerance, compromise, when necessary, patience and of course love.”
