A POPULAR ice cream shop in Conwy has closed 'until further notice' as the site undergoes essential maintenance work.
Parisella's Ice Cream Parlour, on the town's High Street, announced it had shut temporarily on January 13.
This was for what the business called "essential planned maintenance", with the store yet to confirm when it will reopen.
The ice cream makers first opened at 6 Lancaster Square in 1952 as the Continental Ice Cream Parlour, before moving the store to its current site.
Since 1952, the business has one from strength to strength, with Parisella’s Cafeteria, on Happy Valley Road in Llandudno, placing in The Times' top 10 ‘tastiest ice-cream shops by the sea’ in 2023.
Now owned by Carrie Parisella, the Conwy shop said it had "exciting new lines" in time for the holiday season.
In a notice to customers on social media, the business said: "We will be closed until further notice for essential planned maintenance, we will keep you updated.
"We have some exciting new lines arriving for the holiday season."
