A man dubbed "The Welsh Spiderman" is set to climb Wales' highest mountain more than 100 times in 2025.
Dylan Hughes, 41, from Bangor, Gwynedd, will scale Snowdon, also known as Yr Wyddfa, to raise funds for Hope House Tŷ Gobaith, North Wales' only dedicated children's hospice.
The father-of-two, who works as a care worker, is often seen climbing the mountain in a Spiderman costume, which has earned him his nickname.
"I’ve managed 16 already this year and can usually get up and down in around two hours as I walk up and jog down the various routes."
Last year, Mr Hughes climbed the mountain 212 times, raising £7,000 for a breast cancer charity.
He said: "I’d started to do the walks in 2024 and on about my 18th time a friend suggested I do it for charity and help me set up a social media and donation page."
According to Mr Hughes, the walks have helped him lose over a stone and a half, and have been helped his mental health.
His mother, Christine, a retired nursing home worker, introduced him to the work of Tŷ Gobaith and the importance of the hospice within the community.
Mr Hughes said: "I’ve worked as a carer since I was 19, so understand the challenges of running an amazing place like Tŷ Gobaith, especially as a charity.
"I’m really happy to support them with my walks for 2025.
"Raising money for local children and families who face a short time together is something that keeps me going through all weather.
"It focuses my mind to get me through anything."
Mr Hughes has achieved several milestones during his hikes, including completing 50 traverses of the Crib Goch ridge and recording a fastest time of 94 minutes to get up and down the mountain in good weather.
He has also amassed 1,800 followers across his social media pages.
Tŷ Gobaith fundraiser, Nikki Jones, is backing Mr Hughes' campaign.
She said: "What a great guy Dylan is, he really does have an unbreakable spirit and can-do attitude.
"Walking up Yr Wyddfa once is no mean feat, but over 200 times a year is incredible.
"As we work on our mission to help every child and family living with a life-threatening condition to live their best lives, we will be backing him every step of the way.
