A PERFORMER trained at the prestigious Royal Ballet School will step into the title role in Cinderella at Venue Cymru this festive season.
Following an open audition process that welcomed dozens of talented performers from across North Wales and beyond, Corrine Cherish was chosen for her warmth, versatility, and exceptional stage presence, impressing the selection panel from the very first round.
Laura Taylor, Associate Producer and Head of Celebrity Casting for Imagine Theatre, said: “The level of talent we saw during the auditions was incredible. Corrine stood out as a truly captivating performer – her energy, experience, and natural charm made her the perfect Cinderella. We can’t wait for audiences to see her bring the role to life this Christmas.”
Trained at the Royal Ballet School, Corrine boasts an impressive stage career, performing in shows including Boogie Nights, Nunsense, 9 to 5, Shrek, RENT, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She also appeared on the BBC’s popular reality show Search for Dorothy.
Corrine is no stranger to Llandudno, having previously starred in Snow White, and she expressed her excitement at returning to Venue Cymru.
She said: “It’s a real fairy-tale come true to return to this fabulous theatre, where I once played Snow White, and step back into another princess role in my favourite panto, Cinderella.
"Having grown up performing in pantomimes it’s so special to be back on this stage sharing the magic with a new generation of audiences."

Corrine was the final auditionee of the day, selected from more than 30 hopefuls. With two other strong contenders still in the running, the decision became clear the moment Corrine began to sing — the panel unanimously agreed she was our Cinders."
Corrine joins a star-studded cast, including TV favourites and dancing duo AJ and Curtis Pritchard, Britain’s Got Talent 2025 finalists Han & Fran, from Llandudno, alongside panto favourite John Evans, promising a show packed with laughter, magic, and festive fun for the whole family.
In this classic rags-to-riches tale, poor Cinderella works tirelessly but dreams of a very different life. When an invitation to the royal ball arrives, her wishes seem within reach – but will her Wicked Stepsisters succeed in ruining her happiness, or can her Fairy Godmother and loyal friend Buttons save the day? Audiences will have to attend the ball to find out.
Packed with slapstick comedy, magical musical numbers, and plenty of audience interaction, this year’s Cinderella is shaping up to be the festive treat of the season.
