Imperial Classical Ballet is delighted to return this autumn with Tchaikovsky’s festive masterpiece, The Nutcracker.
Based on E.T.A. Hoffmann’s beloved tale, the ballet follows young Marie and her enchanted Nutcracker doll, which magically transforms into a prince on Christmas Eve. Together, they journey through a world of snowflakes, sweets, and dreams.
Performed to a large live orchestra, with dazzling choreography, glittering costumes, and Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable score – including the Waltz of the Flowers and Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy – The Nutcracker remains the ultimate Christmas celebration for audiences of all ages.
Producer Alexej Ignatow, of Amande Concerts Ltd, said: “We are committed to bringing world-class ballet to theatres nationwide, offering unforgettable productions at accessible prices, without ever compromising on quality.”
Also performing at Llandudno will be the fairy-tale ballet for all generations, Sleeping Beauty.
Imperial Classical Ballet presents Tchaikovsky’s sparkling classic, Sleeping Beauty – the timeless story of love, magic, and triumph of good over evil.
Based on Charles Perrault’s beloved tale, the ballet tells the story of Princess Aurora, cursed by the wicked Carabosse to prick her finger and fall into a century-long sleep. Saved by the Lilac Fairy’s grace, she awaits the kiss of true love to awaken her.
Performed to a large live orchestra, with exquisite choreography, sumptuous costumes, and enchanting sets, Sleeping Beauty is a feast for the senses – perfect for both lifelong ballet lovers and first-time audiences.
Producer Alexej Ignatow, of Amande Concerts Ltd, added: “We bring the magic of ballet to regional theatres, making it possible for audiences everywhere to enjoy these masterpieces close to home.”
The Nutcracker will be performed at Venue Cymru on Tuesday, November 11, at 7.30pm, while Sleeping Beauty will be staged at the same venue on Wednesday, November, also starting at 7.30pm.
