Remembrance Day 2025 services and events across Conwy

This year marks 80 years since the end of the Second World War, with Armistice Day officially recognising First World War's end on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.

Several services across Conwy are being held this Sunday (November 9), in honour of those who gave their lives in the country's service.

Across the county, parades and services of remembrance will take place at war memorials and cenotaphs in towns and villages where people have already been preparing with thoughtful, decorative poppy displays.

This is the Remembrance Day plan for towns in Conwy county:

Colwyn Bay

10.40am - Parade leaves Lansdowne Road, Colwyn Bay

10.50am - Service & Laying of Wreaths at War Memorial, Queen’s Gardens

11.10am - Parade to St Paul’s Church for Service

Conwy

10.45am - Short service will be held at Bodlondeb followed by the parade, which will make its way through the town to St. Mary's Church for the Remembrance Service led by Rev Kevin Ellis

Llandudno

9.45am-11.30am - Service of Remembrance to be held at The Church of the Holy Trinity Llandudno followed by Remembrance Service at the War Memorial

Old Colwyn

10am - Service at St Catherine’s & St John’s Church

10.40am - Assemble at War Memorial

11.00am - Laying of Wreaths & Service at War Memorial

Penrhynside

10:15am-11.15am - Service of Remembrance to be held at Penrhynside Village Hall followed by Remembrance Service at the War Memorial
